The verse above has given strength and comfort to the hearts and minds of many during the war. Over 400,000 people from Ukraine have crossed the border to Moldova since the beginning of the war, with nearly 100,000 planning to stay long term. Cru staff members and volunteers there have been serving at their office 24/7 answering phone calls, helping with transportation, serving food and giving out resources. Another way they have been meeting others’ needs is by sharing the hope of Jesus to many refugees that have come through their doors. They have created a resource with prayers and Bible verses to share with refugees they meet, which has provided peace for them as they enter and adjust to a new country.
Dozens have tirelessly yet joyfully opened their homes to care for people and God has sustained many refugees with the resources that they need. Cru staff members have been able to utilize a large room/shelter that hosts up to 100 people to provide for numerous families during these stressful times. Pray for the many more refugees who will be in need of shelter and rest and for those who are receiving them, offering care and support.
