Worldwide Day of Prayer 2019

“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10, ESV)

God invites us to be still and know that He is God. We will have the great privilege to do just that during our next Worldwide Day of Prayer October 1. Our movement will take a global pause -- a Selah -- to “Stop. Worship. and Listen.”

Our Area Prayer Igniters have prepared a different format for us this time to help us be still before the Lord. We will not use lists of prayer requests as we have on previous Worldwide Days of Prayer. Along with worship and thanksgiving, we will have times of prayer and reflection individually and in groups to help us stop, rest, and listen for His voice.

I encourage you to keep Psalm 46:10 in mind until October 1. You may consider fasting in preparation. Please come with a heart ready to worship and hear from the One who is worthy. May we be awed by His passionate love for us. May our hearts be set ablaze with more fervent love for Him.
